After years in the corporate world, Lyna Knight and Susan Weicherding couldn’t be happier to now be in the world of blueberries. Lyna owned and managed a title insurance company, and Susan was a tax consultant with Ernst & Young. The two started the farm part time with 4 acres, then purchased 20 more acres, and three years ago we purchased 150 acres in Manatee County of which 18 is planted in blueberries. They also have small cow/calf operation. Last year, the two FarmHERs were featured on RFDTV as prominent women in Agriculture.

Both Lyna and Susan enjoy blueberry farming because they love spending their days outdoors and seeing their hard work turn into a sweet product for everyone to enjoy.
