Farm Manager Chris Parks shared the news on Tuesday, October 28th with the Florida Strawberry Growers Association, marking an official start to Florida’s season.
“This is always a special moment for our team,” said PR Director Nick Wishnatzki. “It’s the result of months of preparation and teamwork, and we’re excited to see Florida strawberries back in stores soon.”
G&D Farms, located in Duette, Manatee County, is considered the largest contiguous strawberry farm in the world, representing 750 planted acres of strawberries and pineberries.
Wish Farms is optimistic about the season ahead and expects exceptional berry flavor. Consumers should expect to see Florida strawberries appearing on grocery store shelves soon.
