4Roots, a Central Florida nonprofit founded in 2015, is dedicated to changing how communities think about, access, and interact with food. Rooted in the belief that food is essential to healthy people, communities, and the planet, 4Roots works with local farms and partners to create a more sustainable and equitable food system in Central Florida where everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food.

Achieve Plant City empowers families to achieve success through education. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and their caregivers by providing literacy, educational support, and family resources that help families learn and grow together. We serve low-income and migrant families facing barriers to educational and economic success, working to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy through accessible, family-centered programs.

Our services support children, parents, and adults through a continuum of learning opportunities. Adult Literacy programs include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Basic Education, and GED preparation. Early childhood and after-school programs promote school readiness, literacy development, and academic achievement for children from preschool through fifth grade. Parenting education, intergenerational literacy activities, and family engagement opportunities equip caregivers with the tools to support their children’s learning at home.

Achieve Plant City also provides developmental screenings, case management, and concrete supports that help families overcome challenges, build stability, strengthen literacy skills, and create brighter futures for themselves and future generations

Founded in 2024, Mind Your Melon Foundation is a Florida-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the well-being of farmers, ranchers, and agricultural families through research, advocacy, education, and community outreach. Every meal begins with the people who grow, raise, and harvest our food. Yet, many agricultural families face unique challenges—including economic uncertainty, unpredictable weather, labor shortages, and the emotional demands of sustaining both a business and a way of life.

Mind Your Melon works to raise awareness of farmer wellbeing, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and equip agricultural communities with meaningful resources, education, and support. Through partnerships, research, outreach, and engagement, the Foundation is building a stronger, more resilient agricultural community where no farmer or rancher has to face life’s challenges alone.
