HR Generalist – Bilingual

Position: Full time

Location: Plant City, FL

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s hiring, talent development, and workforce planning initiatives. This role is responsible for attracting top talent, strengthening the recruiting processes, supporting employee growth, and helping build training and development programs that align with company culture and The Pixie Way fundamentals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Manage recruiting activities across all entities of the organization with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience that protects the brand.
  • Draft, revise, and post job descriptions for open roles that accurately reflect position requirements and align with relevant Pixie Way fundamentals. Collaborate with managers to update and improve job descriptions as roles evolve.
  • Screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, coordinate candidate assessments, and communicate in a timely, professional, and thoughtful manner throughout the hiring process.
  • Manage recruiting tools and platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Handshake, Caliper, and other hiring portals.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Relations Manager, Marketing, and IT to enhance the company’s hiring and onboarding process.
  • Coordinate and host new employee welcome parties and other onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Coordinate with IT technology onboarding and offboarding efforts.
  • Coordinate employee training and development by helping identify training needs, assigning and tracking training, and supporting employees in growing personally and professionally.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, lunch & learns, and other development opportunities that encourage learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support during performance review periods, helping managers stay organized, communicate clearly, and follow through on key responsibilities.
  • Manage the internship program to attract, evaluate, and develop emerging talent while building meaningful relationships and supporting future workforce needs.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen internal talent pipelines and employee retention strategies.
  • Maintain the company organizational chart and other employee information, ensuring accuracy as roles and reporting structures change.
  • Support employee recognition efforts by maintaining birthday, anniversary, and pixie name lists, updating the intranet with new hire highlights, and assisting with coordinating tenure gifts and related programs.
  • Assist with additional Human Resources responsibilities as needed, to include several clerical duties in the department to assist with overflow of other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with proven business & people skills.
  • Knowledge, experience, or interest in the agriculture industry.
  • 2–4 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, human resources, or employee development support.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting training, employee development, performance review processes, or other HR programs preferred.
