Festival History
Since the first Florida Strawberry festival in 1930, the festival has brought the community of Plant City together to showcase agriculture and the area’s infamous crop – The Florida strawberry. The festival began as a way to celebrate the community’s harvest, and while the festival has preserved its agricultural focus, it has grown to include rides, concerts and entertainment, youth livestock competitions, and of course LOTS of strawberry treats.

From agriculture and crafts to contests and concerts, The Strawberry Festival has always been a family-friendly showcase built on tradition and community – We are so honored to be a part of it!

A Wish Farms’ Tradition
Wish farms has been a proud staple in the strawberry festival since 2010. We see the festival as the perfect opportunity to work with members of the Plant City community and shine a light on all that agriculture has brought to this area! Not to mention we love having the chance to get out and interact with our customers and biggest berry fans!

2025 was filled with so many sweet moments, here are a few highlights:
🍓 The 2025 Florida Strawberry Festival had record breaking attendance, with 651,647 attendees! The festival unveiled the brand-new Wish Farms soundstage, with another legendary lineup of performances.
🍓 We opened our headquarters for the first ever Berry Bolt 5K Run For Sweetness, raising over $169,000 for the Wish Farms Family Foundation and the United Food Bank of Plant City.
🍓We returned to the IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show in Anaheim, CA to connect with customers and expand our knowledge of the produce industry.
🍓 The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services presented Wish Farms with the Agricultural-Environmental Leadership Award.
🍓 Wish Farms’ Director of Strawberry Supply, Chuck Hollenkamp was honored with the Florida Strawberry Growers Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

An inside look from the farm at pineberry harvesting! 🩷🍓
Pineberries are a cross between the Japanese white strawberry and a Florida red strawberry. Fully ripe and ready to eat, their white to blush color comes from a lack of anthocyanins - the pigment that gives strawberries their bright red color.
Like their appearance, the flavor of the Pineberry is truly unique! They have the sweetness you love in a traditional strawberry, with notes of pear and apricot. 🌴✨
