We have a career opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our team in Plant City, Florida as the Director of Accounting & Finance. The Director of Accounting and Finance will report to the CFO and be responsible for developing, directing and driving the accounting and finance functions across the organization for Wish Farms and affiliated companies. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Accounting and Finance team as we continue to propel the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the consolidated close and monthly financial review including the reconciliation of GL accounts to monthly schedules
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Oversee cost accounting practices
- Oversee daily cash and debt management and produce weekly and monthly cash-flow reports
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP
- Plan, organize and coordinate the year-end close process with external auditors
- Manage preparation of tax schedules for external tax preparers
- Assist with the planning, budgeting and variance analysis
- Assist with hiring, training and retaining competent accounting team as needed
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Provide support to management, to enable informed operational and strategic decision support.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting as requested by executive team management
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Positive attitude aligned with the Wish Farms culture
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting required; ; CPA required
- At least 10+ years of related professional experience
- Advanced excel skills
- Public Accounting experience preferred
- Power BI skills preferred
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and meet deadlines quickly and accurately.
- Experience supervising and mentoring a team.
- Highly motivated, passionate self-starter.

LOCATION
This position is a hybrid onsite role at our headquarters in Plant City, FL. Hybrid onsite is defined by your direct supervisor, but is flexible to suit the needs of the business and employee.
