Everyone loves the idea of it…fresh fruits and veggies picked right out of your backyard- But is it as easy as it seems?
We took a look at Sunset Magazine and found the easiest tips and tricks to starting your own edible garden.
First off- Choose a spot to plant! Remember: The spot you choose should get at least 6 hours of sun a day.

Next- water your seedlings while still in their containers and clear your spot of any rocks and debris. Spread compost and make sure it is laid flat!
Later in the afternoon plant your seedlings and water well! The soil should feel moist.
Watch those babies grow! 6-8 weeks later your plants should really be making some progress!
Tip- Watch your soil! It should be moist but not too soggy.
When your fruits and veggies are in full swing make sure you pick them when they look fully ripe. Aka- like they do in the grocery store!
